Tulku Khenpo Lodrup Pelden Rinpoche was born on Tibetan Calendar July 8, 1963, in Sichuan Province, China. His father is Dorjee Rongta, and his mother is Kaxiu Ajibu. When Rinpoche was little, he naturally expressed his fondness for the Triple Gem. He was extremely delighted whenever he saw Buddha statues, scriptures, prayer wheels, prayer beads, and other dharma objects, and heard the mantra of "Om Mani Padme". Even playing with friends was a pleasure to imitate the "Empowerment Transmission of Dharma". He had a very strong sense of compassion.
At the age of nine to ten, he began to learn the Tibetan language with a living Buddha and soon became proficient in reading and writing. In the years that followed, he often quietly went to the homes of nearby villagers and relatives to recite sutras and attend dharma ceremonies. Between the ages of 18 and 20, he relied on the lama to listen to Buddhist Treatises such as [Teaching of Samantabhadra Tathagata] and [Treatise on Entering the Bodhisattva's Path] and became more aware of the doctrines and principles of Dharma, and cultivation steps, also went to a nearby cave to retreat and practice diligently.
In 1983, at the age of 21, Rinpoche went to [Serta Larung Five Science Buddhist Academy] to become a monk and practice under the guidance of Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok, when His Holiness often accompanied about 15 or 16 disciples. After three years of diligent study and cultivation, Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok personally conferred the degree of Khenpo to him. In 1987, at the age of 25, he followed His Holiness and 10,000 Tibetan monks and lay disciples to pay homage to the Manjushri Bodhisattva Dojo on Wutai Mountain. At that time, more than 10,000 believers recited the [Practices and Vows of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva Chapter of The Flower Adornment Sutra] 100,000 times to make a vow to transfer merits to all sentient beings.
In 1989, at the age of twenty-seven, Tulku Khenpo Lodrup Pelden Rinpoche was sent by Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok to the Muya Holy Land to serve as a Khenpo in a Buddhist Academy founded by him. In 1997, his five disciples received the degree of Khenpo. During this period time, Rinpoche planned to return to the [Serta Larung Five Science Buddhist Academy] in two or three years to receive the supreme empowerment of Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok and receive the highest-level Perfection Teachings.
In the spring of 1998, Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok Visited Muya in person and returned to the [Serta Larung Five Science Buddhist Academy] with Rinpoche after seven days of preaching dharma. In May, he observed the origin and appointed Rinpoche as head abbot of Dongzhi monastery over Zhaga sacred mountain [Five Science Buddhist Academy], and said meaningfully: "Khenpo Loden should reside in Dongzhi Monastery for three years, maybe forever, as you have strong affinity there!" Then Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok recited the prayer of Great Freedom three times to bless it.
In 2002, Lama Barlo (nephew of Master Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa and Dakini Sonam Dolma), who foresaw that his fate was coming to an end, ordered his attendants to carry him to see Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok and asked for the fact on the reincarnation of Baima Chompei Gyatso. Baima Chompei Gyatso was the youngest son and important disciple of Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa. Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok told him: “Tulku Khenpo Lodrup Pelden Rinpoche is the reincarnation of Baima Chompei Gyatso who was the youngest son of Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa. let us prepare and perform the enthronement ceremony as soon as possible.”
Rinpoche had enthronement ceremonies in several of the surrounding sub-monasteries, these sub-monasteries also made large offerings. However, Rinpoche did not accept any offerings. He advised them to recite the prayer [Pray for Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok and Dakini Muntso’s to Dwell for Eternity]. After all the enthronement ceremonies, Rinpoche began preparations for the rebuilding of the prominent Sutra, Tantra, and Terma Main Hall in Dongzhi Monastery, which Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok inscribed Main Hall as [Zhaga Jiaoyan Fazang Great Bliss and Freedom Palace]. (Here Jiaoyan Fazang means the collection of Sutra, Tantra, and Terma).
In the spring of 2004, When Rinpoche was hosting the Bliss Dharma Festival at the Shavarong at the foot of the Zhaga Sacred Mountain, a rainbow grew longer in the sky and finally merged into the picture of Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok behind him. Followed by His Holiness's shining image. The general public devoutly believed in His Holiness attended the Festival in person, and then most of them vowed to recite the Mantra of Avalokiteshvara or Vajrasattva for the rest of their lives (about 2,000 people vowed to recite the mantra at least 100 million times each) and to refrain from killing for three years.
In 2006, Rinpoche hired someone to cast the bronze statues of Shakyamuni Buddha, Padmasambhava Rinpoche, and the four-armed Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva in Chengdu. These statues gradually got delivered to Dongzhi Monastery for enshrinement. The three statues were all made in strict accordance with Nepalese craftsmanship and are very solemn. Rinpoche always uses the money from the dharma service for the deceased to carve the “Marnyi Stone", and the money from other donations to release lives, place new Buddha statues, engrave mantras and sutras, etc., to propagate Buddhism and benefit sentient beings.

Rinpoche had enthronement ceremonies performed at Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa’s family temple Dongzhi Monastery and nearby several important Monasteries. During the ceremony, people observed various auspicious scenes, several rainbows in the clouds, and also saw the image of the large, fabulous Goldfinch Bird. They said, "Kyabje Khenchen Jigme Phuntsok is really here!" (The large, fabulous Goldfinch bird is the representative of His Holiness). During this period, Dakini Muntso specially sent someone to deliver the longevity Buddha statue, longevity scriptures, relics pagodas, as well as clothes, Tibetan carpets, etc., that the body, speech, and mind rely on.
Lama Barlo's pious offering including: An exquisite statue of Master Tsultrim Tsangpo as a representative of "Body". (Master Tsultrim Tsangpo was one of Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa’s important disciples, and the guru of Master Baima Chompei Gyatso, who was the previous life of Rinpoche). The [Eight Great Dharma Practices] include long, medium, and short obstacle-removing rituals written by a relative of Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa, and the commentary on [The Great Illusion Network] written by Master Baima Chompei Gyatso. Dakini Sonam Dolma (mother of Master Baima Chompei Gyatso)’s daily recitation book and the [Hearing and Liberation] ritual used by Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa during his lifetime (Terma of Master Garma Lamba) as representative of "Speech". Also a large collection of Padmasambhava Rinpoche’s hidden treasures that Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa retrieved at that time and various nectar Maru as representative of "Mind".
Devotees offered Rinpoche a picture of Padmasambhava Rinpoche described as [Seeing Me, Will Be Enlightened Like Me]. (This statue was made by Padmasambhava Rinpoche through divine transformation and integrated his physical form and supreme light for blessing. It was hidden together with a group of other statues. Later, retrieved by Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa and handed over to his son, Terma Lord Baima Chompei Gyatso. It has been kept secret by believers during social unrest). The offering also includes some items used by Lord Baima Chompei Gyatso, and other large items and cash. Rinpoche accepted some of the Dharma objects and the remaining was used for Tertön Sogyal Lerab Lingpa and Dakini Sonam Dolma’s Nirvana Dharma Ceremony.
