Practice and Diligence

Question: Tashi Delek! I am quite lazy, I procrastinate in doing things, and I often waste time on useless entertainment. It is difficult to correct this. Every time I get motivated, I can persist for more than a few days. I keep procrastinating about my practice. How can I correct this?

 

Master: You must continue to be diligent. The antidote to laziness is diligence.

Question: My child is in a rebellious period, is addicted to games, and has suicidal tendencies. What should I do?

 

Master: On the one hand, it is the child’s own karma, and on the other hand, the general social environment also affects your child’s development. You need to guide them well. In the morning, you should teach your child to prostrate three times. This way, they will receive the blessings of  Triple Gems and will gradually change. In everyday life, you should also have your child recite the Prayer to Remove Obstacles on the Path more often. You can also burn more All-Purifying Incense from the Wellspring of Kama and Terma Teachings group.

Question: If one has depression, how should one train one’s mind and use the Dharma to get free of it?

 

Master: You can communicate more with friends who have the right knowledge and right views. But the main thing is to pray more to the Guru and the Triple Gems, and Guru Padmasambhava Rinpoche, as well as to contemplate more on the four external preliminary practices, do virtuous deeds, release many animals, and burn more All-Purifying Incense.

Question: What should ignorant people do to cultivate wisdom?

 

Master: Read more Buddhist books, listen to and contemplate the Dharma more, and pray to Manjusri Bodhisattva frequently.

Question: I have benefited from the Dharma and I very much want to share it with everyone. Sometimes I see friends around me who are still helpless in the sea of ​​suffering. How can I help them?

 

Master: Help them through the “Dharma Salon” Gathering of the Wellspring of Kama and Terma Teachings group.

Question: Sometimes I have obstacles with work or my body, and I recite the Sutras, but I don’t feel any significant effects. What’s going on?

 

Master: You must recite the Four Refuges and the Prayer for Removing Obstacles on the Path more often, while being focused, serious, and confident.

Question: Nowadays, cell phones have become an indispensable part of life. How can we guide children to better balance the relationship between cell phones and normal life?

 

Master: If you spend all your time on Buddhist practice, you will have no time to be scattered by using your cell phone. If you don’t practice or study Buddhism, you don’t need so many functions on your cell phone. Phones for seniors are quite suitable.

Question: My mother is seriously ill. She is in a coma and paralyzed following a brain hemorrhage. She is in a vegetative state. What can I do to truly benefit her?

 

Master: Perform more virtuous deeds for your mother, use her own money to release a large number of animals, feed her with healing nectar.
